DUCKS FLY AS ONE.

Strategist

How can we get UO students to focus on hoops?

Suffering from success?

Oregon has incredibly established athletic programs.

Football in Autzen is a holy experience for a Duck fan. It includes a walk, a shout, and a famous phrase when water starts falling from the sky.

For fans of Tracktown USA, Hayward is a piece of history. It is the birthplace of Nike and the most famous track stadium in the entire world. On any given day, you could meet Olympians and other world-class athletes paying their visit.

In recent years, volleyball, golf, softball, and baseball have gained attention for their success.

So where does basketball fit ?

Ducks on the rise.

The Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs are full of young talent and highly rated recruits. In the past few seasons, we’ve seen Oregon go far in March Madness, and dominate in the Pac-12.

It’s clear that Oregon’s basketball programs are on the rise. However, through surveys we discovered that UO students have so much to focus on athletically that sometimes basketball gets overlooked. When you’re excellent at so many things, it can be hard to focus on one.

We chose the simple solution. If we want to bring together UO students to rally behind our basketball programs, we’ll extend an invitation that expresses this exciting moment in Oregon history: Don’t Miss A Moment.

The Invitation.

Keeping with the tradition of former AHA X Oregon Basketball campaigns, we knew that our invitation needed to match the scale of the moment. Our team executed:

  • Vinyl installation in the EMU building on campus

  • Social Media

  • Stickers

  • TV Ad

  • Radio Ad

  • In-person event

The Results.

Our in-person event had a record turnout, with many fans excited at the idea of connecting through vintage jerseys, screen-printing, and nostalgia.

Through the mix of these activations, we were able to spread our message of just how exciting a moment this is for Oregon Basketball. It will be something to look back on, and you’ll will most certainly want to have been there.
